Payment System Guide

Due to the introduction of the latest web security data encryption standard (TLS 1.2), an upgrade of our store payment system was required. This means that if you are using an older web browser (from around 2012 and older), it might not be possible to complete payment on our store.

In this case, after the ‘Continue’ button has been clicked during the ‘Payment details’ store checkout stage, a blank screen may show instead of the usual payment details form page. Please see the screenshots below as reference (click the images to enlarge).

To first check whether your browser supports the TLS 1.2 encryption standard, find out here:
https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html – Qualys Labs

If it does then you will see a ‘your user agent supports TLS 1.2’ notice in the Protocol Support section (click the image to enlarge):

If it does not then you will see a ‘your user agent doesn’t support TLS 1.2’ notice in the Protocol Support section (click the image to enlarge):

If the browser does not support TLS 1.2, there are two options available to solve the issue:

  1. Make a change to the browser settings if possible (see the Browser Settings Guide below).
  2. Update to a newer supported browser version, or other browser type.

If you are not sure which browser type or version you are using, check here:
http://www.whatsmybrowser.org – What’s My Browser

The web browser versions not supported are:

iOS Safari 4.3 and lower
Opera 17 and lower
